Open Day FAQ's

Q. How do I book a place?

A. Email spedantrust@gmail.com with the name/s. We are accepting bookings on a first come first served basis. For all those attending you will be sent an email confirming your place/s along with details for the day.

Q. What are the timings for the day, can I just come along to part of it?

A. We will be starting at 10:00 in the Leckford village hall with a couple of short informative briefings about the charity, Spedan’s Natural Trust, and biodiversity in the local area. Followed by a short 10-minute walk to where we will have 5 educational demonstrations that you will work your way around in small groups. We will be finishing at around 14:30.

We will be staying as a group for the whole Open Day, so we ideally would like all people coming to stay for the duration.

Q. Why are we running an Open Day?

A. To showcase the Trusts involvement in biodiversity and stimulate interest with a view to closer involvement. We have a remit to educate, and this is part of the process.

A. No We welcome everyone from novice to world experts

Q. Can Children attend?

A. Supervised children are very welcome. Please note the location is in the middle of a secluded, very uneven possibly soft grassy area next a river. Their safety and well-being is your responsibility.

The day does begin with a couple of short informative briefings in the village hall on biodiversity and our charity, Spedan’s Natural Trust, followed by a short 10-minute walk to where we will have 5 educational demonstrations that you will work your way around in small groups.
